We play a significant role in the delivery of social housing and affordable housing and have extensive experience of working with registered social landlords.
Schemes vary in size from small urban market renewal projects to major estate and Pathfinder regeneration schemes. We work in low demand areas and link housing investment to economic development while delivering housing choice, safer communities and solutions to meet housing need.
For young people, getting a foot on the housing ladder is now a considerable challenge. The need for affordable housing is unprecedented. We are investment partners with the Homes and Communities Agency and under their affordable housing programme have been awarded £17 million. We have also established Bellway Housing Trust which specifically aims to provide affordable housing without the need for public sector financing. We have also been successful in bidding for funding from the Homes and Communities Agency across a number of their initiatives including 'HomeBuy Direct - a first time buyer scheme enabling young people to take an equity share in their new homes. |
