Throughout the course of the year we have agreed to make payments, which in total amount to £17 million, for such items as education, environment, highway and open space facilities.  These payments provide benefits for the whole community following the granting of planning permission.

We support a number of charitable initiatives throughout the country and we are frequently involved in a number of community activities and sponsorships.  During the year we have hosted visits from local schools, donated goods and services, sponsored exhibitions and local sporting events. 

Many of our employees accept invitations and roles to become involved in the public and voluntary sector.  Working within local communities across the country we realise how important this involvement is to show our support and expertise and also to learn from these organisations and groups.
