Bellway employs around 2,500 people throughout its divisional network across the country and provides indirect employment to around a further 3,000 subcontractors. Our employees play a vital role in our continued business success. We focus on providing a positive working environment and developing our employees' potential. We are committed to employing and training apprentices and encouraging site based employees to train for NVQ qualifications. We operate an apprentice training scheme that provides work based learning, enabling apprentices to develop their skills and gain experience in the working environment.

Every year Bellway site managers receive Pride in the Job Awards and Seal of Excellence Awards. This accreditation recognises the management skills of our site managers, many of whom have developed their career within the Bellway Group.

As members of the Major Home Builders Group, we have committed to qualify our entire UK site workforce under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) by 2010.

To encourage young people to enter the construction industry, we frequently host school visits to site and work with local communities to provide training and employment opportunities around our development sites.
