Ensuring the health & safety of our employees, sub-contractors and the general
public is of the utmost importance. We promote a positive health & safety culture throughout the Group and support the development of skills
and knowledge throughout the organisation.
We have established procedures and systems to manage health & safety and provide detailed risk assessments to site for all our site operatives. In
managing health & safety we take a pro-active approach; every three weeks, (more often on more complex sites), NHBC safety consultants undertake
health & safety site inspections.
The ensuing reports are discussed in detail with our management teams to ensure health & safety issues are being managed effectively. In addition,
review meetings are held with our consultants every six months to discuss any problem areas which may have been identified, to ensure procedures
are reviewed and training is undertaken as necessary, to effect improvement.
A review of incidents last year highlighted that slips, trips and falls on the same level coupled with falls from height pose the greatest risks
to our employees; consequently we have targeted these areas for improvement this year. Regular reviews were undertaken across all sites and
awareness raised in order to reduce these incidents.
