The construction industry offers excellent opportunities and career prospects for young people entering the industry. Young people can progress through their employment, gaining NVQ units that provide a clear recognition of their progress. Currently Bellway employs 149 apprentices. In training and developing their skills we work closely with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and local colleges. Once qualified, these young people are able to enjoy the benefits of working for a national housebuilder and can continue to progress their career within a dynamic and exciting environment. Recognising that the industry requires a constant flow of keen students we work with local schools and host school visits. These have a dual purpose of informing young people about health & safety on building sites but also make them aware of the job opportunities that exist within the housebuilding industry.
